How it Works

Thank you your interest in Postcard Excursions. I am so excited to help you book a vacation you are going to love. I selected this profession because I am passionate about travel and I enjoy talking about it with my clients!

Before we get started, I want to share a few tidbits about how I work:

  • To deliver the highest level of service and attention to detail, I work with clients on full itinerary planning. I do not book standalone elements such as transfers or tours, as my focus is creating a fully coordinated travel experience.

  • Although, I do have access to villas and condos for some destinations, I do not have access to Airbnb or VRBO properties and you will find the best value in booking those yourself.

  • I can book airline tickets as part of a package and/or international travel.   However, your best value is to book these directly with the airline. Because I am not a ticketing agent, I am unable to book airline tickets directly.

  • I work with several suppliers including cruise lines, resorts and a host of tour operators.  My primary goal is to align your wants and desires to the best travel supplier that fits into your budget.

  • I prefer to have a 30 minute call to discuss how you like to travel, potential vacation spots, dates of travel and other preferences. If you feel it’s a fit, we’ll get started. You can easily schedule this appointment online (see below)

    *Please note that if you prefer to communicate via email, this is certainly an option. I can also make myself available after hours and some weekends upon request.

  • I charge a $200 planning fee for my travel planning services.  My Professional Service Fee covers your consultation, my research and recommendations, preparation of quotes and itineraries, reserving and booking each element of your trip, securing quotes for comprehensive travel insurance, administration of your booking from deposit to departure, and follow-up post-trip with suppliers (as needed).

  • Truly, my research and experience is at the core of a Postcard Excursions experience. Typically, depending on the complexity of the trip, the planning process will take anywhere from 3 days to 1-2 weeks. During that time, I may have additional questions.

  • I will offer you 2 quotes (when I can) that fit into the criteria that you provide for the type of vacation that you’d like. A consultation call/email that outlines recommendations will be provided for your review and approval. At that time, we can discuss any additional options you may want to consider. If you are happy with the itinerary, we will get started in making travel arrangements.
